FAMILY DAY PRICING
Sunday is Family Day at the Ice Arena. A family of up to four can enjoy an afternoon of skating for only $10 (without skate rental) and $20 (with skate rental). Add additional family members for only $2.

Freestyle

Freestyle skate is a time for figure skaters to practice their skills. This time is open to the public and is available on select Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays, 2:30-5pm. Fee: $10 per skater per session.

WEEKDAY PUBLIC SESSIONS:
Open to ALL!

Wednesdays- Noon-2pm, $6 per person- includes skate rental.

Totsicles

Totsicles provides a 45 minute self paced orientation to movement on ice for pre-schoolers with a supervising adult. Whether it’s playing in the large pile of snow, shooting a hockey puck into the net, riding around on a sled or testing out the ice for the first time, Totsicles is the perfect introduction to ice skating and ice play for young children. Helmets are required!

Once finished out on the ice, children and adults are invited to warm up with hot chocolate and cookies and enjoy story time and a small activity.

Totsicles is designed for children ages 5 and under. To maintain a safe environment, school-aged children are not permitted to participate. A parent/guardian 18 years of age or older must remain on the ice with children at all times.

Totsicles is held at the Morgantown Ice Arena on select Fridays 9:30-10:30am. FULL SCHEDULE LISTED BELOW

Cost: $6 per child

WEATHER POLICY: If Monongalia County Schools are on a two-hour delay or closed, Totsicles is cancelled.

12 & Under Hockey Playground

Join us for an open ice time specifically set aside for younger and newer hockey players to allow them to skate and play on ice in a playground like setting. There will be nets, pucks, other kids to play with. Divider will be used to create different areas of play. The Playground will have on ice adult supervision but no adult lead drills or activities, to allow kids the freedom to get creative and play on their own.

Kids who have participated Learn to Skate, Learn to Play, and development/house league hockey programs are especially encouraged to join us for the Playground. Participants should wear full hockey gear including hockey helmet with face protection and, of course, bring their stick.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to join their kids on ice to play, provided their child want to play with them! BOPARC fee, skates and hockey helmet are required. No group coaching allowed.

For those interested, ½ hour hockey skating/power skating lesson for young skaters will be available at some playground events. Instruction during the Playground is taught by Kinder DeWoolfson (kmd0050@mix.wvu.edu). Playground group lessons are $10 for the first kid and $5 for each additional child from the same family. Please contact her directly to arrange a lesson during Playground. Lesson payment should be made directly to the instructor and are separate from the ice time.

Early morning adult pick-up hockey on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30-9:30am. Fee is $6 per session. Two goalies play for FREE each day. Locker rooms are available for use.

Sunday afternoon pick up hockey! Open to all. Fee is $6 per person and 2 goalies play FREE each session. Locker rooms are available for use.
