Our Mission
The BOPARC Foundation is committed to growing, sustaining, funding and creating awareness for the philanthropic needs of the park system in Morgantown. Through strategic and community-centered efforts, the BOPARC Foundation will partner with BOPARC to actively pursue funding for projects to maintain, enhance, and expand upon the parks and trails serving the Morgantown community. An investment in the city parks and green spaces is an investment in the people who benefit from them and we are proud to support this initiative as the official philanthropic partner of BOPARC.
Our History
The BOPARC Foundation was officially granted 501-c-3 status in November of 2020. This designation has enabled the Board of the Foundation to actively begin solicitation of funds for the enhancement of the Park system in the city of Morgantown. The Foundation was stimulated by the successful fundraising projects of BOPARC in the past. A need for a more focused and official organization to partner with BOPARC was recognized and the BOPARC Foundation and Board was formed.
