BOPARC is happy to offer fun and friendly spaces for humans and their canine companions! We host two Dog Parks within our park system. One is located along the Deckers Creek Rail Trail and the other is a wooded park within the Krepps Park system.

The general rules of our Dog Parks are as follows: Dogs over six months of age are welcome and must be licensed and vaccinated. Owners must clean up after dog(s), be in verbal control of dog(s) and have a leash visible. It is the owner's responsibility to be in control of his/her dog. If dogs are aggressive with other dogs or people, patrons are encouraged to contact MPD at the time the incident is taking place. Please note that the Dog Parks are operated on a self-monitored basis, meaning that patrons rely on the good citizenship of other patrons and their dogs. If this is not happening, please help us by reporting issues immediately to MPD and BOPARC.

Aside from dogs being allowed off-leash within the park, all of the pet related policies of BOPARC and laws of the City of Morgantown still apply while at the Dog Parks. This includes cleaning up after your dog. PLEASE remember to pick up and dispose of waste appropriately!

Both parks were made possible by a cooperative venture by BOPARC and the Morgantown Dog Owners Group (MDOG).

HELP KEEP OUR PARKS CLEAN!

BOPARC offers several dog waste disposal sites throughout our park system and along the rail trail. Please utilize these sites for disposal of your pet's droppings.

If you are interested in sponsoring a site, we do take donations and will order the station and install it at a predetermined location. The cost of sponsorship is $600 and includes the signage indicating this pet station made possible by a donation from (insert your business or name).

We also gladly accept general donations toward the upkeep on our dog parks and supplies for the pet stations! Call our office at 304-296-8356 for more information.
